About Me
 

Shruti Gupta, DO.  I received my medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine on the Suwanee, Georgia campus and completed my residency and board certification at Tulane’s East Jefferson General Hospital Family Medicine residency in my home state of Louisiana. My passion for preventive care began while I was earning my bachelor’s degree at Tulane University in public health. I also received a Master’s degree in Physiology at Georgetown University where I took coursework in the evidence behind certain alternative medicine modalities and developed an appreciation for a evidence based, multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare.

I believe in the connection between mind and body, and am emphatic on the importance of lifestyle in health. I love family medicine because I am able to put my enthusiasm for preventive care into practice, as I believe a cornerstone of good medical care is important in keeping people healthy. 

I also appreciate that I get to see a wide diversity of ages, and believe that developing relationships and trust with my patients is the foundation of a good practice. I have a particular interest in women’s health, education and reproductive autonomy. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite way to spend a weekend is discovering a new Colorado hike, hosting a dinner party, and watching a Saints football game. These activities do well to satisfy my love of the outdoors, cooking, and New Orleans. I look forward to taking care of you and your family!
